The town has a population of 4,100 and is located in an area bordering San Teodoro to the north and Posada to the south, to which it technically belonged until 1959.
The rest of the area is mainly hilly and scarcely populated, with the exceptions of conglomerations of small hamlets, a special feature of settlements dating back to last century that grew out of the phenomenon of habitations spreading out in relationship to the sheep folds.
From the north, it is easy to reach on the S.S. 125 and from the south on the S.S. 131. Budoni is a growing tourism area meeting the increasingly high expectations of a tourism that demands top-notch services, developed in full harmony with the spirit of its residents and the land itself |
